Dear Members,
Thank you so much to everyone who has already replied to give an indication of how many horses they will be bringing to the Keuring, and numbers for our planned dinner(s) with the judges and runners.
Please click forms page and find the Keuring Entry Form 2025. You need to fill in to enter your horse(s) in the Keuring.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and submit this form to me via e-mail by Sunday 16th March with all relevant details filled in (including for IBOP if relevant).
A PDF showing the 2025 KFPS prices involved in the Keuring, as well as post-Keuring costs (if your horse receives a new premium, etc) can also be found on the Forms Page. Invoices will be sent out directly after forms have been sent in to be paid prior to the Keuring. Any post-Keuring costs will be invoiced for afterwards.
The Keurings
Auckland Keuring

Rose Flats Equestrian Centre, 939 Kaipara Coast Highway, Kaukapakapa, 0873, Auckland
Option for horses to stay overnight if needed (please enquire with me).
Coffee truck from 8am.
Please pick up a programme and your bridle number tag(s) from the Harcourts gazebo in the arena before the Keuring begins and attach the tag to your horse’s bridle. There will be some nibbles, but please bring your own lunch.
Please make your way for the Welcome Ceremony in the arena at 9am, after which we will begin the height measurements and Keuring.
Bring your KFPS horse paper/certificate with you on the day.
Presented horses must wear a white-coloured bitted bridle (white halters for yearlings and foals).
You are welcome to invite friends and family, colleagues and neighbours, as members of the public are welcome at this Keuring! An online event will be created on Facebook, so look out for this and invite all your horse-loving friends! (Please note that members of the public will need to stay around the arena and not make their way into the stables area.)
Palmerston North Keuring

10am – 1pm (approximate finish time, depending on horse numbers)
530 Karere Road, Tiakitahuna, Palmerston North, 4477
Instructions: Please drive to end of road and along stock bank to access property.
There will be some nibbles, but please bring your own lunch.
Please pick up a programme and your bridle number tag(s) from myself in the arena before the Keuring begins and attach the tag to your horse’s bridle. Return the tags to the same location after the event. The number tags will have a refundable $5 deposit in case of misplacement (included in invoice).
We will begin the height measurements at 10am, followed by the rest of the Keuring.
This is a private yard, so the event is not being advertised online to the wider public; however, you are welcome to bring along some friends and family.
Bring your KFPS horse paper/certificate with you on the day.
Presented horses must wear a white-coloured bitted bridle (white halters for yearlings and foals).
All horses entered into the Keuring must be registered with the KFPS (contact our registrar Marianne Weitenberg at registrar@nzfhs.co.nz for more information) in order to participate. Your NZFHS/KFPS membership must also be up to date.
Keuring Dinners
There will be a restaurant dinner with judges and runners in Auckland on Sunday 13th April after the Keuring (approx. 7pm), and a restaurant dinner at the Hungry Horse Cafe in Palmerston North on Wednesday 16th April (6.30pm), followed by a relaxed BBQ catch-up on the 17th after the Keuring (6.30pm).
If you haven’t already, please let us know how many people in your party will be attending one or several of these dinners, as well as any dietary requirements.
Keuring Preparation
If you have any questions about how to prepare for a Keuring, and the process on the day, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
As a member, you will also have access to the online portal at myKFPS (https://account.equisonline.nl/Auth/Index/KFPS/FrontOffice) where you will be able to access information and videos on preparation and presentation, as well as the breakdown of the scoring. If you do not have this access, please let me know, and I will organise this for you.
Auction Fundraiser
We are holding an online auction prior to the Keurings to fundraise and help off-set some of the costs of bringing our judges and runners into the country and flying them home. The auction will be advertised this week!
We already have quite a few really great items lined up, but would like to open the floor to members (and non-members), so if you have something you’d love to donate to our auction, whether it’s an experience, a stay somewhere special, or an item, please let us know by Wednesday 12th March.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone 🙂
